Hi guys.
As the subject says really. Was in court in Dec 2020. Court ordered cafcass produce another letter to ascertain parties positions etc ( first one didn’t actually clarify anything ) this is due to be submitted to the court no later than 4pm tomorrow ( 11/1/21) As of yet, I’ve not had a phone call or any communication with CAFCASS. Can’t see them having time to speak to me and ex partner tomorrow and write the report up.
My question is, IF this letter is not submitted on time or at all will the court have to adjourn the hearing ? The hearing is on Friday 15th jan. They’ve asked for letter 3 clear days he bore hearing. I personally can’t see how the hearing can go ahead as we are no further forward than last time if CAFCASS haven’t completed an updated letter.
Just wondering so I’m prepared for what may happen. Tia
hi,
do you have contact email or phone for cafcass? chase them tomorrow to see whats happening.
Cafcass may well do whats asked by the courts 2moro by 4pm
Well, 4pm came and went and no sign of CAFCASS. Tried calling was told the officer dealing with it would call but didn’t. The court order ordered an updated letter to be sent by today at 4pm, I can’t see how the court hearing will go ahead now on Friday as what was directed has not happened so we’re no further forward.
It happened to me they leave it until late to do the call will not let you see the written transcript until the court date a new thing they started to do and expect you to roll with it.
Just watch what they write they have a habit of twisting wording as well!
Hope it helps
