Hi there

You could ask your GP to do a Liver function test, this would indicate if you were a heavy drinker. If the GP won't do it, you could pay for a hair strand test, but they are quite pricey, over £200 I think.

Do the other two children live with you full time, is there a valid reason why one of your children shares with you?

It might be helpful to prepare a brief position statement to take with you to,the first hearing, you could use it to tell the court your situation in your own words.

I do hope you kept your cool with the CAFCASS officer, I know they can come across as very one sided but it's best to hold down any anger you feel.

If you feel she was particularly biased against you and didn't give you a chance to give your side, you could speak to her manager and ask for a meeting...although it's best to wait until you see the report and if it's way off challenge it in court.

All the best

I don't think it's too bad, when someone is so personally involved everything is magnified, I think you're reading a little too much into it, which is totally understandable.

Try not to get too caught up with the report, just present your case as calmly and reasonably as you can, stick to the facts and don't enter into any [censored] for tat or bad mouthing, you were concerned for your child and that's the position you are coming from. Keep everything central to your child and if you're struggling with that, refer to the Welfare Checklist to keep your arguement on course.

All the best

It's the recommendations at the end of the report that are important - not so much the content.

Mojo has given you good advice here.

Best of luck
