[Solved] C100 - how long is it valid? Expiration?

As topic title really ....

I assume that from the date of issue the C100 has form of validity period or expiration?

Essentially I MAY have a potential agreement in place which as you would expect I have huge suspicious reservations about so I'm thinking that I can at least see how that works initially & know that if an agreement isn'#t reached in XX days/weeks that I can still submit the C100.

I may stand corrected but the order is in place until the child is either 16 or 18. Or either parent can apply for another order to supersede the order currently in place.

I think you've misunderstood. I don't mean the contact order.

I mean the C100 form itself. If it's issued to me on Monday how long is it valid to make my application to court?
For example 4 weeks? 4 monnths?

If you have applied the respondent have 14 days to reply by filling out the C7 form which will be sent with the notice of hearing. A notice of hearing will be issued even if the court does not receive a response from the respondent. This will usually be 4 - 6 weeks from the date from the court receiving the C100.

That's my point - I have NOT applied yet.

I get my C100 on Monday - how long do I have to apply before that C100 expires?

Scenario: I may have reached an agreement with my ex however I'm not sure. therefore I'm not sure whether to even make application to court.
if in 4 weeks I realise I was spun a lie as a delay tactic would that C100 still be valid or would I have to seek another?

The C100 form has no expiration date. You can downlaod a form from many webistes. It's just a form and until filed with the court has no meaning what so ever.

Get it filled out and handed in ASAP, It will be a delaying tactic from the ex for sure, I fell for that and it finally cost me 9 months of not seeing my daughter, the thing is your ex can mess you about anytime she wants it's sooooooo much better battling for a contact order set in stone 🙂

I assume you mean the mediation stamp on the C100? I think that's valid for 4 months.

To be fair, I would agree with Slim, submit it and see what happens. A first hearing usually takes 4 to 8 weeks to be listed anyway. If you reach agreement during that time you can ask the court for an order made by consent although you can run the risk of a 'no order' ......

I agree with the above, if you have reached agreement then once in court you could ask for a consent order just to make the agreement legal. Whilst there is a chance that the court may make a 'no order' if they do you could ask them for a review hearing in six months as you are worried that the agreement will not be stuck to.

I will join your topic, please.

I have a signed c100 form already by the mediator, but the date is over 4 months.
Do I have to start the whole process over again?

Thanks
