Hi All.
Hope you can give me some advice / guidence I have 2 issues that I would like to get resolved.
firstly,The situation is that I live in Essex and my 2 year old son lives in East Kilbride (Scotland) I go up every 4 weeks to see him over the weekend, My name is not on the birth certificate and I have asked the mother a number of times about re-registering his birth so that my name goes on as the father, As she keeps declining I would like to proceed and look at what options I have to get my name on the birth certiificate or get PR??
Secondly, I am only given permission from the mother to have my son just for one night only, even if im up longer then the weekend, (over the summer I was up for the week and still was only allowed to see him for two days) I would like to have my son for longer periods of time when im up in Scotland, and have the opportunity for me to bring him home for a week / go on holidays with him etc to allow me to get closer with him.
I currently don't get to do this and would like some help and advice on how I can resolve these issues, I understand the law is different in Scotland so any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advanced.
