[Solved] Asked to speak to daughter. Reported to Police!

Hello, I have just received a call from the local Police . My ex has been in to report harassment due to the fact I text her several times stating "Hi, could I speak to my daughter today please" all of which were ignored.
The Police said there is not enough evidence for harassment on this occasion, but if I continued to ask to speak to my daughter there would be.

I was so angry. I get to see my daughter for approx. 8 hours at a weekend, and for 3 hours one Wednesday every 2 weeks.

We went to Mediation last month which I did not feel was fruitful, I basically had to sit there defending myself from constant lies for an hour costing £90. I know that she will not allow the extended time I want with my daughter.
We were due to set up a further mediation session for later this month, but following her reporting me to the Police, I am not standing for it. I will be informing mediation that I wish to go to court and cancel the next session.

My daughter is 7 now, this has gone on for too long. I need this resolving once and for all.

I agree... Mediation can't work if she isn't prepared to negotiate with you !

We will support you as much as we can.... Best of luck.

Thank you I need it. I am not sure whether to use a Mckenzie friend or a solicitor? Her playing dirty like this, I don't want to go it alone. Any advice?

I guess it depends on your finances...if you have a good MF they can be very effective in giving support through the process. The trouble is that they are an unregulated body and as such there are some bad apples....we can help with recommendations, dependent on where you live , if you'd like to PM me I can give you some pointers.
