Hello everyone,
Well my daughter is one tomorrow, and after me refusing on the weekend to pay even more money, my horrific ex is now going to CMS and will probably stop me from seeing my daughter.
I've tried everything over the last 12 months, but she i so resentful and hateful of me that nothing as worked. In recent weeks she has accused me of psychological abuse and harassment, so its all looking like going to court.
A couple of points id like your experience and views on. Firstly I've suffered depression since 16 and during my relationship with her it exacerbated hugely. I expect my 'mental illness' to be thrown at me in court. Has anyone dealt with this personally? I have heard horrendous stories of fathers paying Β£1000's in MH assessments and still getting nowhere.
Also has anyone been subject to blackmail and how did they deal with it?
Thanks all
Strugglingon
Been there mate.. get to your Doctors ASAP, tell them the situation, and get a letter from them explaining due to the stress your under your depression is getting worse, and in no way should affect contact with your child.
Get this done before the court ask for it, always be a step ahead, won't cost you anything, maybe an admin fee from the docs for the letter.
Agreed, get to your doctors.
The fact that you recognise the depression and are being treated show that you take your health seriously so dont worry.
I too had this thrown at me but a doctors letter set it straight.
Regards,
Dave
I suffered with Depression too for YEARS. Wouldn't worry too much about it. If there were maltreatment issues I would expect it would become a factor but Depression is a state of mind not psychosis. No Mother has their child taken away when they suffer from PND so just stay calm and stick to logical facts with this one. Shows you have a clear state of mind for handling the stress of litigation too.
.... No Mother has their child taken away when they suffer from PND ...
An excellent point π
