Nothing more than that to ask really. I have got 2 1/2 weeks to go my next hearing. They are not very good at communicating.

I applied a few years ago for their assistance, got the referral from the local MP and got a response rom BarProbono unit saying they accepted my case and would try to find a barrister to assist....a few weeks before the hearing I got an email from them saying they had been unable to find anyone in my area (East Mids) who was available.

Have you tried contacting a Mackenzie friend? a fraction of the cost of a solicitor and family law specialists, some will also advise on things over the phone or email without charging and can help with all areas of the case from helping you fill in forms to statements and advising in court.

Thanks, dad- id. I have checked out the MKF option and am going with that. I had previously applied through Advocate and they did exactly the same as with you at my last hearing. this next one is an appeal so it might be useful to have a barrister as well- IF s/he will work with an MKF.
