Hi there and welcome

It's so sad to hear that you haven't seen your daughter for such a long time. When you have attempted to make contact how have you got hold of her?

When applying for a contact order you would send the application to the family court nearest to where she lives, otherwise she would just have it transferred which delays things.

You will need her address, it asks for this on the application form. You can apply for a seek and find order which is applied for with form C4 and once granted this will enable you to have a contact address with which to pursue contact. You could apply for both at the same time at your local court and then when her whereabouts is confirmed you could get the case moved nearer to her. Might I suggest you speak to the CAB, or alternatively many solicitors offer a free initial consultation and you could use this to find out how to proceed. It might help if you were to attend a Families Need Fathers meeting in your area too, you will get face to face advice and support from parents going through similar situations. Here's a link to their webpage where you will details of meetings in your area

Once you have submitted your forms to court, they will return two lots of copies, one for you to keep and one to serve on her. You would have her address hopefully so you would be able to send them to her recorded signed for delivery, or if she has a solicitor you could also serve the papers on them.

I think you can send them in together, although it might be better if you take them in personally as the court staff can help you and check for any mistakes. I would apply to your local family court and once the mother has been found it can be moved to Bristol.
