So currently going through court for access to my daughter my ex is being a pain in the [censored] delaying it every chance we had a court order to file Scottβs schedule by 4pm on the 8th July giving us 14days from the last hearing so plenty of time Ive done mine she hasnβt Iβm representing myself she has solicitor I contacted courts theyβve received nothing from her either so I contacted the solicitor she said their secretary is ill so itβs delayed no time scale just delayed surely they canβt get away with that excuse what can I do about this ?? Any advise welcome thanks
...Itβs not on that her solicitor has so little respect for you and for court procedure! Hereβs an interesting article about late filing... the judge has the power to set aside any statements/evidence if it has been filed late, itβs something that you could ask for at least.

Best of luck
hi,
you should write to the court, in polite terms, stating that your self-representing and following the rules, ex has a solicitor and they are being dumb and disorganised. and explain the distress and hardship you will suffer if the court process is delayed, due to you not seeing your child. tell them that delays will not be in the best interests of the child. don't be surprised if her solicitor emails you, asking to agree to postpone the hearing. do not agree to that and state your reasons as mentioned above.
when i was going through this, ex solicitor emailed me, asking if hearing can be adjourned, because they were late in applying for legal aid and it hasnt come through yet. lol. i said no thanks, and court ignored their nonsense and hearing went ahead as scheduled π
