Hi i am looking for advice i have just ended a 2 year relationship and have a six month old daughter from it i have played a full and active part in my daughters life since birth my former partner is refusing to let me see my daughter despite a mutual agreement we made.We both have children from previous marriages and i have had full custody of my 3 for 5 years now.Despite my best efforts she also withholds contact of her other two children with their father,i have no wish to cause her or any of our children further pain just to see my daughter is all i want is the best course of action court? Many thanks

Hi

Would she be prepared to go to mediation? It's worth having a word with a mediator (google national family mediation service) so they can invite her along - if she refuses, at least you've tried and the courts usually expect this to have been tried first. It can cost quite a bit.

Otherwise, you may be looking at applying for a contact order. Have a look at yoji's guide to representing yourself at the top of the legal eagle section, as this will tell you what the process involves.
