Morning,
Bit of background, My son is 4,lives in London with his Mother, and I live in Liverpool.
I have him every three weeks and also holidays.
He is always sick.. always coughing always has a cold.. and his mother has now started blaming my dog ? She is now threatening to stop contact. I have contacted his Dr;'s and they said they suspect he has asthma.. but in now way is it related to my dog. I am more worried that she is living in a hole with damp,, and I am considering contacting social services?
She is also being abusive via text calling me a text book Dad.. and having a go because I haven't been ringing him whilst ill.... Cording to the court order Im only allowed to ring once a week.. and she normally doesn't let him speak. and I dread it every Wednesday night ... and when I text she ignores it... I can't win
She is also kicking off because I wont let him call her boyfriend Daddy.. ! He is so confused.
My wife and I are expecting our first baby in April and I don't need this from her.
I don't really know what to do, she is that horrible his mother I'm really considering leaving it till he is older ?
I don't know what to do now?
Hi There,
.
It is so tough when you get issues like this from the mother of your child and I speak from experience!!!
.
My advice is to do everything you can to continue contact with your son, if you break the contact and decide to stop seeing him it is VERY difficult to go back on without troubling your son even more, if you do break contact, your ex will most likely poison your son against you so you would have to be prepaired to not ever have contact again even when he is old enough to decide for himself, as the damage your ex will do will stay with him even as an adult.
.
Does your son come to you ill? if he does then his illness almost certainly isn't down to a reaction from your dog as after a 3 week gap it would have worn off, If the doctor is right and your son does have astma then being around a dog can make it worse, I know when I was a child my folks had to get rid of our dogs as it was making my astma worse.
.
I feel for you as like I say I speak from experience, if you want a more open chat feel free to private message me and we can talk openly.

Cheers buddy.. I'm not going to stop it.. just try and ride it out.. shes a nasty piece of work..
Yeah he comes ill the poor fella.. and he absolutely adores the dog, which she knows.
It's tough.. but I have to ride it out, I suppose when he's 6-7 and hes more with it so to say .. it will become easier.
As my wife says its power to her.... all I want is to be a Dad..
Thanks again dude..
Mark
