Why are travel systems so [censored] expensive? I've just sold my car for £300 only to find that I can't get a decent travel system for anything like that money.
Now my car had done 140 000 miles and ferried me about for the past 10 years. The pram will last two years max, get covered in [censored] and then get sold on ebay for a fiver. I know where the value for money is.
Why are these things so expensive? Someone please tell me, is it the engineering that goes into making it lightweight and fold easily? It is the intricate detailing on the rain cover? Or is it just a big rip off cartel that exploits:
a. Chinese workers who probably only get paid 3p per pram
b. Mums who don't want their newborns to go anywhere near second hand prams that have been within 40 miles of another snotty kids bodily fluids.
robbin b£$£rds.
😆 🙁
You are right - it is insane...
We never really got into the travel systems - we did for the first, and it was okay, but a bit like a good hi-fi a "separates" approach seems to work out better...
But that doesn't explain the NASA approach to cost structures...
