Hi
This is all new to me!
My wife and I have decide to split it us amicable so far,
I am going to have our children in rented accommodation for approx 60% of the time
I assume this is how it is worked out
They are staying with me 4 nights a week
I am going to claim child benefit as she earns more than me
She will pay all the mortgage on house
Can I clam any working or child tax benefits
My wages are approx £19,000
Hi There,
.
If you are claiming CB then you are also able to apply for working tax credits, I don't know what the threshold is for that, but it's worth applying to see if you can claim it.
.
If you have the children for 60% of the time, then you shouldn't be expected to pay any child maintenance to your ex, though she may be liable to pay you some, but if you can agree on who pays what (if anything is paid at all) then hopefully you can stay amicable.
.
Good luck and if you have any questions just ask and we will try and help.
