[Solved] Question about child support

Hello , i have a daughter which is 1 year old. I m working on minimum wage and the CMS they calculate my monthly child support which is 188 £ which i find a lot and i m almost left with nothing after all my monthly expenses. I m seeing my daughter maximum once a week , sometimes once in 2 weeks .There is any chance that my child support to be recalculated? my ex now she's living in a new council house , she has 2 jobs one with cash in hand and the other one with contract and she s winging all the time how difficult and expensive is to raise a child ( and shes buying all the clothes for our daughter from Fenwick) but she s always drunk or tipsy when she's coming at work (and going out every weekend it s not cheap and probably she s using the money from child support to go out). With child benefits probably she's earning like 2000 £ per month. And very soon i will change my job and my ex she remind me that if i m earning more i must pay more , she just want to rip me off , that s it.Where should i call because i want my child support to be recalculated.thank you.

Hi

If you think they have made a mistake you need to speak with the CMS. You can find the calculator here which will tell you what you should be paying https://www.cmoptions.org/en/calculator/

Liability is calculated on your income, not what the mother earns. The same rule applies to all non-resident parents.

i ve used already the calculator from gov.co.uk but it s the same result . if i want the child support to be recalculated probably they will ask for a bank statement?

If that's your liability then there isn't anything to recalculate. That's what you are legally obliged to pay towards the costs of raising your child.
