Anyway..
The ex is taking the kids in January. According to the csa calculations it's just under £50 a week I'm due.
After sitting adding up the general costs of living, the debts I've to just take on the chin is maintenence and I'll have travel costs around £120 a month for visits.
I'm already a few hundred above my wage. And that's before adjusting council tax payments for single living.
I've not even factored in food
I can forsee me selling my car for a cheaper one but it's not going g to help massively. If I took on another job the tax man would take a chunk and the payments would go up.
Im really beginning to panic about not coping financially despite having a reasonable job.
Hi There,
.
I would speak with CMS about your payments as you may be able to get a reduction for your travel costs, I know over a certain amount thay will adjust what you pay, but I'm not sure what the level is.
.
GTTS
I'm afraid the reduction for travel will be minimal, at a rough estimate, on £120 per month in travel costs, you might be looking at a £10 per month reduction - it never goes anywhere near covering the cost of your travel.
My advice is that you contact stepchange - the are a debt management charity, and the earlier you see them , the easier it is to come up with a plan, rather than leaving it until you are already in debt.
