[Solved] Finances Split Child Benefit Maintenance

Hypothetical at the moment question but some one may know........

3 kids together we get Child benefit of 47.10 pounds 20.30 + 13.80 + 13.80 (sorry laptop wont do pound sign?)

if we split 2 kids with me & one with her, do we both get a first child rate of 20,30? + I get a 2nd child element of 13.80?

Or does the first child rate depend on date of birth & not residence?

You are correct - if you both have a child living with you the majority of the time, then you can both claim the first child rate - if you can agree with your ex to do this, then what you are doing is perfectly within the rules.
