So my ex wife has petitioned for Divorce, we agreed she would do this in Mediation and that we would share the cost 50/50 - £275 each.
When she applied she asked me to transfer £275 to her, which I haven't yet. When I have gone to reply to the Divorce online it says 'Do you agree to pay the costs?' She has selected the item for the Court to get costs from me, shall I say Yes or No as I do agree to pay 50% but not the full amount, but there is no option for partial on there!
Thanks everyone.
If you are filing for divorce ie completing the form, then perhaps you could ask her to transfer the money to you first?
No she has filed, this is in my response unfortunately. I just don't understand why she ticked the box to get the court to ask me to pay for it when she knew we had an unofficial agreement in mediation to pay half each.
I spoke to the Divorce helpline in the end and they said to put No I am not happy to pay all costs and enter in the Notes that we had agreed I would pay 50% and I was happy to do so, that's what I've done! Will have to wait and see what happens now!
We aren't really on good comms terms unfortunately, solicitors are involved for the child custody aspect.
