hi rodneys,

4000? no way! i just paid £300 for court application & MIAM assessment. and received court hearing papers the other day. this will be my 2nd court application. first time round i did use solicitors and spend lot of money needlessly. don't do the same. you can represent yourself. plenty of experienced dads on here who went alone and got good outcome. PM me if you need more advice.

your on benefits so there is good chance you will pay reduced fee for the court application and mediation. may even be free. you may be entitled to legal aid.

check and contact https://www.rcjadvice.org.uk/legal-aid/

this info came in a leaflet from HM Courts with my paperwork.
