[Solved] Benefits cap

For many this is about time too - many people genuinely need benefits but for some they are better off NOT working and that surely cannot be right? - but is £26000 enough to live on? surely it depends on where you live as the cost of living in London is considerably higher!

What do you think?

Yep, I agree. The only question I have is to whether it includes payments made to foster parents, if so I think they should be excluded. I saw a program recently about a woman who fostered a number of difficult children (children that no-one else would have) and I assume she was getting money for each child - in my opinion, she deserved every penny and then some.

As far as I understand it, Foster parents are paid rather than receive benefits through the benefits system so they should not be affected by the cuts.

Good - I think foster parents do an incredible job (though many of them wouldn't call it a job).
