[Solved] Getting a dog

Just saw another post about naming a puppy. We are getting one in a couple of weeks, anyone got any advice? Guess we figure our lives were too quiet so needed to add another dimension to our non-eventful family life. Not sure how much impact it will really have yet?

Your post reminds me of years ago when we got a lovely puppy at a few months old from a shelter. He (Toby) was really calm, quiet and sullen looking (cute) and with lovely big feet. A typical heniz 57.
It turns out that he was really lively, jumped up all the time. Apparently he had been given his various shots before we saw him and they had left him all subdued. And his kennel cough had left him quiet. So perhaps make sure you get an idea what the personality of the potential doggy is.
Also, the rest of his body grew into the size of his feet - so get an idea of potential growth.
