I am currently trying to register my name for the housing list so me and my son can have our own place. In order for ne to get higher priority I need access evidence and my ex is refusing to sign a letter is there any other way I can prove I have access without having to go through court
...I don't think there is unfortunately. To be honest I would be surprised if the housing department would give you a two bedrooms e place unless your son was actually living with you,but it's worth a try.
It might be useful to give Shelter a call and talk to them about it. The only other way is to rent privately, although I understand that this can be expensive, some councils can help with deposits etc, this might be something else you could look into.
Best of luck
