So guys,
This time next week i'll be up the hospital with the Mrs as she will be 41 weeks & 5 days pregnant, so will need to be induced.
So, what advice would you give me? You'll all been through this situation, or something very similar if your OH went into labour naturally. What tips can you give me, what are the do's and dont's etc etc? Also, any humourous advice would be welcome, need something to destress me. π
It doesn't sound like you're expecting the baby to come naturally. Are you getting prepared just in case? We had 3 naturally & 1 induced birth. The induction took a good 4 hours to start any contractions off. We did a lot of walking round the hospital waiting. We were also in on a day when there were a lot of women in labour, so were not the priority when we arrived. If you do have to go through the induction a good book to read & some decent food & drink always helps, as we found there was a lot of waiting around.
Hope it goes well & let us know how you get on.

good luck to you both π D
humorous advice? well you could always take a few swigs of the gas and air π
for my first one, I was in the theatre (and I passed out briefly when it was over), for the second I was waiting in the corridor, and for the third, I was 50 miles away at work. the third woked best for me π

neither of our girls were on time, both were 2 weeks late and induced so not really expecting any different. Due date was last Tuesday (8th) and not much happening yet!
Gas & air...hmmm...sounds good, i've heard about it, might have to give it a go. π
Gas and air is Entenox - it's 50% nitrous oxide, which is otherwise known as laughing gas. π
