I took my son to his local swimming pool at the weekend.Β
We've been several times before and it was a great day.
Β
At the end we went to use the jacuzzi and the sauna.Β But the life guard on duty wouldn't let my son use the sauna.Β I never heard about this before.Β He said there are rules that under 18 year olds cannot use the sauna.Β
Β
Is this new?Β I haven't heard of this before.Β Are there standard pool and sauna rules across the country??
rules may vary for each centre. I went to local one and they said am not allowed to swim with 3 young kids, it's safety issue if only 1 parent present. I told them I am a single dad, not fair. eventually they let me in.
@bill337
Thanks Bill. I guess theyβre just doing their job. But weβre trying to keep our kids happy as a single dad. SOmetimes a little flexibility goes a long way. I found these public sauna rules online. Looks like there is some age restriction on saunas. But Iβm surprised you had an issue with bringing your 3 kids into the pool area. Was there a life guard on duty?
How do you find the swimming pool as a day out for the kids? My little fella just loves it. Chance to let off so much steam. And, then heβs more chilled out come evening time. Win win.
@tommy92 yes theres lifeguards. We went in summer when kids were desperate to cool off π
