[Solved] I want to join the army

Hiya.
Basically, I'm an army reservist, I've been unable to commit to it due to work/life etc. I have an 8 year old daughter who I have an agreement to see on set days/times etc.
I'm stuck in a job which is barely paying the bills I want a trade, qualifications, travel, excitement, and I'm getting close to the age limit to join the regular army.
I want to do it. I just want to speak to other non resident fathers who are in the army. How do you cope being away from your child for even longer? Was the mother supportive? Any experiences would be helpful, thanks

Hi There,
.
I'm not sure if we have any members that are in the army on here, but keep checking back.

Would your ex be supportive of flexible contact arrangements if you did sign up? If not, you might have to go back to court to get the order varied (if there is an order in place). Presumably your ex would see some benefit in that you could afford more child maintenance.

if you are in the us or britain dont do it.
the army there is simply a plaything for some of the wealthiest scumbags on earth to make more money.
you would be expected to kill people who posed no risk to you or your family whatsoever, so you can scratch off any notion of protecting your country.
if you have any sort of conscience you will come back with ptsd and itl ruin you and probably your little girls life.

america and britain havent fought for anything honorable since ww2.

That's a personal opinion! I would think that nagenod has a different overview of the armed forces and we would be in a sorry state without them, that's my personal opinion!

The Army has bases all over the world and it doesn't follow that nagenod would be sent into a war zone.
