my ex has always been irrational with our daughter and last year i started legal proceedings for access as my solicitor said that was the best I could hope for well after wasting 8 mnths with that solicitor who did nothing but take my money i changed solicitors and this one bing competant did her job and i just had my directions hearing .... no surprise but ex was a no show and a new date scheduled but now ive just found out she was commited in a hospital ward for lets just say health issues again i was aware of her drug abuse but this always came back as unfounded and with no or little evidence and now my daughter is in her grandfathers custody how and why is this allowed ?! im on my daughters birth certificate and want to know why im not involved/informed what can i expect now if my daughter is in her grandfathers custody or is it temporary custody and can i get custody now or not ???? any advice appreciated also my ex changed my daughters surname via de poll apperently also talk about being shut out my little girl will soon be 4 and this is killing me

Hi,

What are the next steps with your solicitor? Are you going to be asking for the child to have residency with you or are you just wanting increased contact time? How did you find out that she is living with her Grandfather?
