My son had a one night stand the lady was 30 yrs old and said she was on the pill. No contact from that night until the CSA contacted him for payments. My son was not even informed by the lady she was pregnant or when the little boy was born. DNA proved the little boy was my sons. my son will not have contact he feels so much hatred unfortunately to this person and he cannot bring himself to have contact with the child. The lady in question and her family have caused a lot of trouble so much so that solicitors letters have been sent My son is ahe was 26 at the time and while he is paying for his son it is unfair that she left her parents home got a house lives on benefits and maintenance.

Why aren't women made to take responsibility for their actions why should a man always have to pay, the CSA have taken so long to sort out paymentsfor my son that I eventually contacted our MP once he became involved the CSA sorted out the case but the arrears that mounted up were awful these could potentially put men into a debt situation.
I think it's about time the government relooked at all payments for men and also look at the situation surrounding a 1 parent family and women should not be able to sponge there way through life. I agree that the interest of the child must come first but noone should be ripped off. The government band child benefit so why isn'y CSA payments based on these skills. Unless the law is changed women will always have the upper hand.

Hi

Whilst I understand your son's feelings, the one person who is beyond any blame at all is his son (and your grandson). However much he hates the lady, he should try to come to terms with the situation and try to have meaningful contact with his son. If he doesn't I really think he will regret it later in life - it's not something he can ever pretend hasn't happened.
