Anyone have any experience of this ? How do you go about it ? Did your kid get a good course ? any horror stories ?

My daughter has just been through it a second time - she got the grades she needed last year, got a place in the uni she wanted and then took a year off, deferring the place until this year, and then decided she wanted to go to a different university, dropped the place and applied again to the new university and got the place (no brainer for them really as she already had the grades).
Got the course she wanted - I think part of the trick with both was to be really on top of the process and to chase them up if they were being a bit slow.
My son tried to go through clearing, he did not have the grades though. We really struggled to motivate him to do something productive but there is this company that helps and does not focus on grades, worth a look !

Good luck to any parents living through this time, still think its harder for us then our kids, they just shrug and say whatever!
