[Solved] The school budget and uniform debate!

Hey guys,

Was hoping to get some opinions on school uniforms from parents like me. I have three children (one almost at the end of school!) And I've hated buying school uniform for the last 12 years - especially as it's so pricey!

What do you guys think of school uniforms?

My partner wrote a blog on Selfish Mother on how uniforms may be able to help solve the school budget crisis. Let me know your thoughts.

Schools like uniforms partly because it levels children from better off backgrounds with those who aren't. Certainly, one of my daughters schools when she was young had a policy that specified the type and colour of dress (which was available at Matalan and Asda) and also had a couple of school sweatshirts, which were pretty cheap. I think as long as schools don't have ridiculous uniform policies, there isn't anything wrong with it.
