Starting up, mediation and child access

Hi all, I had a few queries about mediation as Im a relative newby here. How do you start mediation if ex partner not in contact? Secondly, during mediation what information do they discuss. Do they discuss both child maintenance and child access? What if ex is very uncooperative and wants maintenance but not access to kids? Can I still get access through mediation?

When discussing child maintenance, what financial information will they need? Do you have to give info on your assets even if minimal eg you own a car, motorbike etc. Do they need pay and bank statements etc?

Who pays for mediation?

If any of you have been through mediation, how have you found it? Just want to know whats involved

hi,

are you attending mediation for child arrangements? if so then it would have nothing to do with finances. you may be able to skip mediation if you have valid reason. here is list of exemptions:

from my experience, I have found it to be a waste of time and money. only works if your ex is open to reaching agreements away from court.
