It I said great news that I am now a father to my baby son. We are going to register the birth today is there anything that I should make sure that is completed/ done. I have been told that it is imperative that my name is on the certificate for split responsibility and then for obtaining a contact order to be put in place. I have also been told that I should also make I get a copy of the full birth certificate myself.
Any help would be great.
Thank you

Congratulations on becoming a Dad!
Hope your trip to the registry went smoothly and you can work with the mother to be fully involved in your sons life... if you can negotiate with her and work out a schedule of increasing contact that would be best for you all.
All the best
