Looking to ask for some advise from other dad's. Where do i start the new topic and in which category do i put it?

depends on what you want to ask mate.
If its a general question on being a dad you could post on the Fathering children board. No pressure - the worse that is going to happen is that a mod may move a post to a better board for that subject matter.
