RATSO
OK - so I originally registered as Ratso, but I could only login via the saved username and password in IE or Google Chrome. Attempts to login by entering my details manually failed.
When I cleaned down all my Internet cache and everything, I became unable to login completely: "Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet." I get the same message when I try to request a new password
RATSOII
I created a new account and had the same thing, i.e. I could only login via the saved details in IE or Google Chrome. Then when the recent Dad Talk changes were implemented, I lost my abililty to login altogether:
Fatal error: session_start() [function.session-start]: Failed to initialize storage module: user (path: /var/lib/php5) in/home/m/a/main/public_html/templates/perpetual/index.php on line 11
...strangely, RatsoII shows as being logged in, even though I canÒ⬙t do Γ’β¬Λlogged in stuffÒ⬙
RATSOIII
So I have now reinvented myself as RatsoIII ...and now when I try to login I still get the error message:
Fatal error: session_start() [function.session-start]: Failed to initialize storage module: user (path: /var/lib/php5) in/home/m/a/main/public_html/templates/perpetual/index.php on line 11
...but it does actually successfully log me in
...but then wonÒ⬙t always let me post: "You need to login in order to reply to topics within this forum."
...and just to add insult to injury, while trying to type this the scroll bar refuses to stay put, so all I can see is the top few lines of what I have written, as it jumps around all over the place.
HUMPH !!!
Hi Ratso,
Thanks for the detail. I will get the DadTalk Towers IT Gnomes to have a look at this.

:ugeek:
Thanks Gooner. Much appreciated. Would be nice to have a login that lasted more than a week. I'm running out of sequel jokes π
I'm sure I read in one of the other posts that imperionic had also now become imperionic2 ...so it might not just be me.
If any other user is experiencing problems logging on to DadTalk - Can firstly apologise and secondly ask you to contact us at DadTalk towers use this link.
Include your logon name and we will endeavour to sort your problem out.
Regards
Gooner :ugeek:
The DadTalk IT gnomes have been very busy doing battle with the login gremlins and have won apparently. Hopefully any missing or broken logins should now be working again.
Ratso - I have been reliably informed that all three of your trilogy of names are available to you (if you can remember the passwords).
If any of the community experience any further problems please contact me at DadTalk via the contact DadTalk section.
I am here to help
Gooner :ugeek:
Thanks Gooner
Ratso & RatsoII are still getting this message, which is progress; just looks like they need to be included in a different group:
joomla_int Session Create: You do not have access to this page! Your usergroup is Public Frontend. As a minimum, you should be a member of USERS.
RatsoIII seems to work fine ...even when I delete my cache ...which is nice
That's good for me. I can survive with just one login ...and I can always create RatsoIV_TheRevenge ...or some such, if anything else happens.
Thanks for sorting that out. Now, if you could just ask them to fix the England goalkeeper problem, that'd be just dandy
All three Ratso's should be working now mate.
As you have three user names I expect to see conversations on the forum between all three of them π
