How on earth with all us men here is there not a DIY section on the forum?
I've been only using Legal Eagle and thought I'd branch out as I'm renovating my house only to be shell-shocked at there not being a DIY/Home section!!
We need somewhere to discuss hammers, saws, the best way to model your tool belt, the best pose in front of the mirror with a power tool in-hand, the worst DIY accident you've had, the hideous colour the missus has chosen for the en-suite and the cowboy builders stories.
Could also include gardening as a house & home type section?
Team up with Screwfix for competitions too perhaps?

If you've seen my attempts (or more correctly, my attempts at not attempting..), you might understand why 😀
Excellent idea though, and you are right, I don't know why it's not been thought of before.
I'm no expert but I do love a before & after picture or hearing someone's embarking on a project.
Sometimes it's just a really simple tip from someone who's learnt the hard way could save you hours.
In the last few months I've moved into a house that the upstairs hadn't been decorated in 20+ years minimum. It's been grim but will make for some great before/after pics that I'd share on here. It also had/has a jungle of a garden that should bring some good discussion points too.
Would be chuffed if a new section was created for it.
