Hi

Having difficulty setting an avatar. I understand my picture will need to be uploaded to a hosting site...but where is the option to set up the avatar on DadTalk?

Sorry for sounding like a technophobe....i'm really not! 🙄

Cheers

hi daddy2three,
great post!! I like changing my avatar every several months so I know the answer 🙂

Under the "Board index" line of text there is second line saying
User Control Panel / messages / View your posts
>> Click on "User Control Panel"

>> Click on the "Profile" tab...
It will take you here:

>> Click on "Edit avatar" down on the left
You'll see "Upload from your machine: [Browse...]"
>> Click on "Browse"
locate your image on your laptop/pc and load it.

Note the restrictions on the avatar:
Maximum dimensions; width: 90 pixels, height: 90 pixels, file size: 6.00 KiB.
(I personally like 60x60) Hopefully you can resize your image file (give me shout otherwise).

HOWEVER, if you want to use the site's own stock images....
In the "Edit avatar" screen, instead of Browsing for your own image you'll see that lower down there is a button [Display gallery]
Click that and then select the image you choose etc.

Now I'm looking forward to your avatar
😀

...and you need to be logged in to start.
If you don't see the User Control Panel text then try logging out and in again... (frustrating but it works)
