ive recenty separated, and my ex now lives 330 miles away, am i allowed to bring my 2 year old to my house for a week to spend time with me and my family he has 2 half sisters that live near me.
If its ok with the mother, then its nobody elses business. If you were to take your son without the mothers knowledge and agreement, then that would be a different matter. Although as your child is only 2, if you are on the birth certificate, you have automatic Parental Responsibility. If the mother is withholding contact, there are options open to you such as Mediation, where you would discuss the problems with the help of a trained Mediator, and hopefully reach agreement...If that failed you could apply to the Courts for a defined Contact Order, where you could ask for 7 day stays because of the distance between you and the child.
