Hi there my fellow fathers,
Id just like to start to say hope you all a merry x maz and a happy new ere ,,,im a 41 year old dad who was an ex addict andd know the lows and the highs of the drugs life than most.MY 5 kids have never knnow i was an addict but times were sometimes hard that i as not well.I d just like to say that if you educate yourself s a father to the pit falls about drugs then chat to them but they alreday probably know some 1 who has taken drink drugs .Sometimes its beeen so glamourised and out there in the media more about celebs who are meant to be pure ha have had problems, saddly we all not got the pleasure or cash to nip in the priory.
I had to do it myself but im so proud that so far none of my teenagers have taken drugs and my 2 yonger well not going to happen, but if you stay in an estate were its every were it can be hard to keep them away from the peer preasure, now adays there is no were for them to go if you looked years ago we had a youth club wed have seasons when we done things .now kids are to eager to try and grow up too fast see mummy gettin alll glamed up and think thats the norm.
As i say i am and have a lot of knowledge about drugs and what the signs are,i went back to colledge and sat an HNC in social care so i do try and use that abilaty to good use.you go to a school and get a teacher or a policeman to try and telll them about the issues around druguse do they listen no.I have found that when i speak to teens and they herer it straight what its going to be like then they seem to be more aware and take away from the session more than they would being lectured about somethiing they have read in books.I justt lookin 4ward to see ma girls faces in 2 sleeps lol
