There is potential that my children may be removed from their mothers house due to social care issues. The social worker has confirmed that if the children disclose to her what has been ‘alleged’ in a report. Then she will remove them immediately.
I have contact every other week through a child arrangements order. Would the children get put in my care if the social worker deemed it fit to remove them? I wouldn’t want them going to a stranger or anyone else.
The preference is for them to be put with immediate family if possible, as long as you can provide for their welfare. I'd ask the social worker about it - let's face it, it will be a lot easier for the social worker if your children are placed with you, so give them every opportunity to do so.
I agree with actd, talk to the social worker and state that you want the children with you should they be removed.
You could also talk to them about putting in an urgent application to have the children live with you, they may support that action as an alternative to care proceedings.
All the best
I had a similar situation a few years ago, Social Services put my daughter with me after a number of issues with her half brother. When going to court my ex asked the Judge to put our daughter into care closer to where she lives. The Judge basically laughed it off and said there was no reason to put her into because there was no risk of harm while living with me.
