IamA former Child Protection Caseworker and currently a Investigator

I'm sure most of you already understand what the role entails. Just to clarify, I work in North America and while policy is "similar" in most of North America, there are differences in every state/province in practice and specific laws so my answers may not apply to where you live.

While I state that I used to do Casework and now I'm an Investigator, some areas do not differentiate the roles (as in the CPS worker takes on both roles).
