Hi all
I have a long issue but I will try and keep it basic
My ex has lied all over the place and got a new council house 100 miles away from me the police have found all that she has said to be unbelievable I am still fighting this battle
With social and via family court but I have several pieces of evidence that shows she lied on many occasions
My question is as the council are unlikely to kick her out of the house no matter the lies I want to put a request in for them to house me in the area to be closer to my son as I cannot afford to move to this area
I have asked the judge for joint residency and my case looks strong but they will say 100 miles away this would not be possible
Does anyone know of any support groups or advice in this regard
Thanks you all for your advice
I'm not sure whether Shelter might be able to give advice - it's certainly worth a shot. I doubt very much that the council will evict her, as she is also homing your son. You may have to wait for a suitable property to become available in the area you want to move to, but I'm afraid you likely to be classed as low priority as you are already in a house (the area isn't relevant to them). As I say, Shelter may be able to help, or possibly the Citizens Advice Bureau.
