Hello everybody.
I am literally pulling my hair out and chasing my tail with CMS just now and it has been going on for over 8 months with no resolve.
They did my annual review in October 2022 for my Child maintenance payments. They recorded my salary as being £39700.
The online portal says this information was received from HMRC.
However I have never had that salary and it was in fact only £25600 as shown on my Govt gateway.
I have looked over the last 5 years shown on HMRC and this is the highest salary I have had.
I put in a change on the online portal and uploaded pay slips.
However they keep rejecting it. When I speak to them they keep saying that is the information they are getting and they are on a direct link to HMRC.
As you can imagine this has really crippled me financially, I am now in debt just covering my bills and I can't get anywhere with them..
Any advise would be very much appreciated.
Hi,
Did you do any overtime and/or receive any bonuses?
If your current salary is 25% less than 39,700 then they should have reduced your payments and used your 25,600 income.
I suggest you get your local MP involved. E-mail them and this address: correspondence@dwp.gov.uk
