[Solved] working out maintenance payments

Hi everyone, my names Mark; I'm new on here. I need some advice on my payments, I have 4 kids, 2 from one relationship and two from another which has recently broken down and lead to separation. I've used the calculator on gov.uk, it only offers 3 or more children as an option, after entering the other info it says my payments will be £334 monthly. Should I just split this down the middle to each ex partner? I currently pay £220 monthly to the first ex, I want to be fair to both of them and pay what I'm required to pay, just need to check its right.
Thanks guys

Hello mmf104

As you said, once you have calculated the total amount that you should pay for all your children, you then share this between your ex-partners. As you have 2 children with each, the total would be split 50/50.

If you require any information about the different ways to set up your maintenance arrangement and to receive a more personalised service, you can contact Child Maintenance Options directly, http://www.cmoptions.org

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) have a website, ‘Sorting out separation’. It aims to make it much easier for separating and separated parents (and childless couples) to find the support they need, when and where they need it, and encourages them to collaborate on a range of issues. The link is https://www.sortingoutseparation.org.uk/

Regards

William
