Hi there

As far as I'm aware they don't. Does your query refer to a new case, opened after December 2012? If so here's a link to their guidelines on how they calculate maintenance payments.

The only income that is considered is the Non Residents Parents income. Neither the Resident parent or any new partner of the Resident or Non Resident Parent is considered.

The only time that any other persons income is considered is if CMS/HMRC has reason to believe that some is hiding income to keep CMS calculations low ( e.g. if a Non Resident Parent has a wife/husband who owns large % of company or draws wage on a company the Non Resident Parent actually does 90% of the works at or runs etc. )

The Resident Partners income, and any partners they have are never considered by the CMS.

I think the exception to this is if your wife gets child tax credit - I believe half of that is taken into account, or certainly used to be.
