Hi guys,
After 5 years of a private agreement my ex has decided to go through CSA,
Would I be within my rights to ask for receipts for the money she gets from me?
New to using CSA so any help or tips in dealing with them would be much appreciated
Hi and welcome.
It will be the CMS she (and you) deal with, as the CSA are no longer taking cases, but the general idea is the same.
I'm afraid you will have no luck asking for receipts, as it's completely irrelevant - the calculation of maintenance is solely based on your gross income, and there is no requirement at all for the resident parent to account for how that is spent. However, part of the payment is to cover the cost of providing and running a home for the children, so receipts wouldn't account for this even if you could get them.
