I applied to pay child maintenance for my daughter because the mother has moved and changed her phone number I have no idea where she is plus I live in a different city.
I only have a minimum wage job but I am willing to pay to go court! I've tried child mediation and she also refused that too..
What do I do next I need to know the simple steps to make to see my daughter any advice pleas

You have 2 separate issues here - if she's refusing to accept maintenance, then the CMS should close the case as far as I'm aware, but you could always liaise with them and put it in a savings account for your daughter when she's older.

If you have attempted mediation and she's refused, then the mediator should sign off allowing you to apply to court for contact (a child arrangement order) - you can represent yourself (take a look at the sticky topics at the top of the legal eagle section) and/or use a McKenzie's friend to keep the costs down.

Wow when i read your post i had to re read it a few times cos i thought it was my post from two years ago, i was going through an identical situation and posted for advice on here.

From personal experience just wait until she applies for money through the CSA, they can only backdate it from the day she claims it, NOT from the day your child was born.

As actd says you go to mediation, get it signed off and file a c100 form, you can also file a seek and find order which is a C4 form to find her where abouts. The only thing with them is they tend to use the DWP to find your ex, and as my ex was not claiming at the time they could not find her, but thankfully her family persuaded her to give an address. I am going through it all again with an enforcement order as my ex moved house again 6 months ago, but this time the court found her through the local thames valley police.

I never used a mkenzie friend i did it all myself but with advice i may have got even better results

Chin up pal, dont give up and if i can help gimme a shout
