Am in a divorce proceedings with my ex-wife, she has all our matrimonial assets .....3 houses in her name due to bad credit on mine. She has always collected the rental income on two of the properties without me asking for a penny and I still pay for the mortgage on the residential home till I was suddenly thrown out on false allegations last year. She has accumulated up to £130k of loans on the properties and now the child maintenance want me to pay her for child maintenance despite the vehicles we had set in place....the investments to pay for it. I currently rent a house in London so I can keep going to work and not loose my job....more than half my wages goes on bills and rents.....not including food. If CMS takes my wages, I won't be able to pay my rent or feed and would sooner or later loose my job.....please I need someone to advice me

Hi and welcome,
.
With regards to the income from the houses, you would get a share of either the income or the value of them through the divorce, hopefully you will be able to work out a mutaul agreement without a costly court battle, sometimes it can be better to agree to a lower amount then you feel you should have if it gets things sorted and moving, if you don't the money you pay out trying to get the figure you feel you deserve/should have can amount to the difference you are fighting for, so weigh this up.
.
If your ex has contacted CMS then you will need to pay what ever they have awarded her, you can do this through direct pay, straight to your ex, or collect and pay through CMS, if you don't pay they will simply collect the money straight from yur wage. I know this doesn't really help you at the moment, but as soon as you can sort your finances hopefully things will be better for you.
