Hi all,
I have been paying CSA payments every month without fail for the last 5 years however my now 17 year old daughter has got herself on an apprenticeship but her mother refuses to tell the CSA and Child Benefit people the truth because she knows she will lose 300 quid a month. I have been to the CSA who just say "Because she is in recipt of Child Benefit they cant do anything". I have reported it to the child benefit people on 3 occassions and they have done nothing. I have never had a problem with paying for my daughter but her and her mother are clearly defrauding not only me but the system because without the child benefit payment she cant claim CSA money. I cant help but think if the shoe was on the other foot they would be camped outside my house watching me but because i am a bloke they just dont care. What can i do when my ex repeatedly tells the CSA our daughter is in "full time education"? I have even printed the course out from the course providers website and also printed out the child benefits own guidelines to show that what my ex is doing is fraud but these people will not listen!!! Please help because i am close to the edge here.
Hi there
The only advice I can give is to make an appointment and go and see your MP, they may be able to help. They all run surgeries for constituents to meet them and ask for their assistance. It's often the case of them calling up a particular government department and chivying them along a bit.
Best of luck
