[Solved] Tax credits

i am on statory sick pay from my employer and am on a joint claim for tax credits with my current partner which is paid directly to her the csa insist i pay £39 per week but i can not meet these demands as my partner is sayin she is not willing to give me any money from her tax credits to pay for a chil that is nothing to do with her i told the csa the dilemer i am in and they are not will to help me just taking legal action against me for arreas of £300 pound i have been making payments of £7 per week out of my ssp money from work but still they not happy i need help with this matter please,please,please can some point me in the right direction.

I'm afraid that tax credits are the only occasion where your partner's income is taken into account with regards maintenance, so it's going to need to be a discussion between you and your partner to work this out - the CSA are following the rules in your case I'm afraid

spoke to my partner and she not willing to do it so csa rules or not nothing i can do looks like a trip to court for me then csa total utter bull [censored].

I'd have a word with the Citizens Advice Bureau to see what the CSA's powers are - potentially, they could see this as you refusing to pay and their ultimate penalty of jail is something hopefully your partner will not want to see you face.
