after receiveing the divorce draft my wife has put her 2 kids down as children of the family my solicitor says it might be to claim maintenace can someone advise me as to if this is possible to claim maintenace from em for them as i already pay for our 2 kids together we were married for 3 years i havent seen or supported the step kids for the 1 and half years we have been split can she still put a claim for the step kids
Hi there,
I cant see how they can expect you to pay maintenance for two children that arn't yours and who you dont have any kind of relationship with. Why dont you call the CSA and ask them where you stand with this....I'm surprised your solicitor hasn't advised you as to your position, perhaps you should ask them to find out exactly what the score is....thats what they're paid for!
