Specifics on full time education (Child Maintenance Ending)

Hi, my child is currently completing a college course that is due to end in February 2025. I say end loosely.

If my child does not find an apprenticeship, they are allowed to continue attending college, but not actually working towards a qualification as they would have already achieved it. I am assuming this is some sort of stop gap.

The specification for full time education via CMS, I note is 12 hours a week. However, if the child is attending college, for a course they have already completed, is this still classed as full time education?

Thank you.

hi, it depends how child benefit office views it, if its approved education or not. if approved, then CMS would expect you to carry on paying maintenance.
