Good Afternoon .
My son who is approaching 18 has found himself a part time hotel job after college during week evenings and weekends
On average he is working 25 hours per week and collecting over £150.00 per week . Is it ex wife's responsibility to tell the CSA and does it effect any payments I make ?
Regards
Peter
Hi Peter
I think it might affect Child Benefit, which in turn would impact on child maintenance. As I remember it, child benefit guidelines state that they must be informed immediately if a child works over 24 hours a week. Whether that means they lose entitlement, I'm not sure, but the child benefit office or the Citizens Advice Bureau should be able to advise on this.
